Project Description -

Sitting directly above Leeds train station, City House provides c120,000 sq ft of BREEAM Excellent office suites, serviced space and meeting rooms in one of the city’s most prominent locations.

The exterior of the building has been transformed with a striking contemporary curtain-wall glazing installation, feature gable artwork and a sharp new entrance foyer. Inside, the 13 floors of office accommodation have been completely refurbished, with the upper floors (and newly created roof terrace) boasting panoramic views across the city centre. At mezzanine level, the creation of a ‘business lounge’ inspired reception area provides a unique space for tenants to greet, meet and work.

Working alongside Network Rail to agree detailed methodology and working practices for refurbishment works immediately adjacent to the station forecourt and above platforms, RBA were instrumental in establishing working relationships, securing permissions and procuring works to facilitate a start on site.

The project has recently been recognised as a “Gamechanger” at the Yorkshire Property Awards 2018 and as “Commercial Development of the Year” at the Insider Awards.
