Project Description

The project comprised construction of a steel framed 2,227 space, eight-storey car park to serve Alderley Park science park in Cheshire.

Materials used on the project were of high quality and were selected to reflect the surrounding natural environment. Vertical feature fins were used to mirror the cladding on adjacent buildings, and elevations were further broken with a mix of treatments to provide visual interest, variation, and softness to respect the adjacent woodland. The facades included a significant quantity of living green wall and irrigated climbing plant systems.

The car park included disabled spaces and electric vehicle charging points, and external works incorporated upgrades of access roads, and landscaping works to link to existing public realm, green space, and pedestrian environments.
